CLAIRVEST EQUITY PARTNERS
In 2001, Clairvest launched its second private equity initiative, Clairvest Equity Partners (CEP), through a $219 million capital pool comprising $164 million from third-party investors and $55 million from Clairvest Group Inc. This moved Clairvest from a merchant bank that invested its own capital to generate returns to one that also invests the capital of third parties, primarily institutions and high-net-worth individuals.
Clairvest has invested the capital of CEP in nine companies.
CLAIRVEST EQUITY PARTNERS III
In 2006, Clairvest launched its third private equity investment initiative, Clairvest Equity Partners III (CEP III), through a $300 million capital pool consisting of $225 million from third-party investors and $75 million from Clairvest Group Inc. Clairvest has made seven investments through CEP III to date.
CLAIRVEST EQUITY PARTNERS IV
In 2009, Clairvest began marketing its fourth private equity investment pool, Clairvest Equity Partners IV (CEP IV), which is comprised of a co-investment commitment from Clairvest Group Inc. of $100 million and subscriptions limited by a cap of $500 million. Clairvest has reserved the right to increase its commitment to $125 million prior to the end of the fundraising period, which will carry on until the end of 2010.
